Opel Commodore

The Opel Commodore B was introduced into the UK in 1972, replacing the Commodore A series, and as the "big brother" 6 cylinder model to the Opel Rekord D 4 cylinder models. There was no Vauxhall parallel model at this time. Initially sold with 2.5, 2.8 carburated and 2.8 fuel injected engines, the less popular 2.5 135bhp engine was dropped from the UK market in 1974. There were 2 and 4 door versions of the GS (2.8 carb) 155bhp and GS/E (2.8 inj).

The Commodore B was replaced in 1976 by the Commodore C/Rekord E model which were not very popular and they themselves were replaced by the Senator A model in 1978.
